Parent Teacher Association

 

Cumberland PTA's prime mission is to support and enhance the overall learning experience of all children at Cumberland.  Our PTA partners with the school, to provide programs that enrich each student's learning experience. We are a unit of the non-profit California PTA. Some of the functions that the PTA provide include:

  • Organizes volunteers to assist students, teachers, and staff.
  • Raises money to buy equipment and fund enrichment programs.
  • Holds monthly meetings to increase communication between parents and school staff.
  • Provides educational programs on topics of interest to parents and teachers.

The PTA Finance Committee is responsible for developing budget recommendations for the PTA. All requests for PTA funds must be reviewed byt this committee before they are voted on in the PTA. If  you have a budget request, please submit a Budget Request Form (see document link below) by the Wednesday before Finance Meeting.

We need Volunteers! Cumberland is always looking for volunteers. PTA Meetings are usually help on Tuesdays, swapping between morning (8:20am) and evening (7:00pm) meeting times. The morning meetings are in Rm 25, and evening ones in Library. See calendar below for detailed dates/time
