Welcome to Cumberland Elementary School located in Sunnyvale, California.

Cumberland is an exceptional school with over 500 students that come from rich, academically and culturally diverse backgrounds. We have a strong focus on academics, and we also deeply believe in the need to teach the 'whole' child. Our teachers and support staff are dedicated, caring professionals.

One of the most important components of an effective school is the partnership formed between educators and parents working together for the best interest of children. Through teamwork, open communication and a dedication to continuous improvement, we strive to make this school a place that fosters a love of learning. 

We are a community of learners, and strive to provide diverse educational opportunities.  Our goal is to develop the skills, attitudes, knowledge and character children need to reach their individual potential and create a foundation for life long learning.
